Paver Sealing & Concrete Staining
There are many options for enhancing your paver and concret surfaces. Sealing pavers
will give the wet appearance you see after it rains. It does not create a
bond between pavers to eliminate weeds, however, it does create a non-porous surface
protecting your pavers from any stains.
Color luster is pulled to the surface and the
sealer dries transparent with a slight sheen. Shinier finishes can be achieved if
requested by client. We only use top of the line, xylene-based sealer. Two-coat
application is done with a sprayer. Rolling sealer on can cause a milky mess in paver cracks
and leave an uneven finish. It is recommended to either seal pavers yearly with one coat of
sealer or every two years with two coats.
Below is a list of homeowner preparations:
- Move all cars, furniture, pool equipment, and portable devices from paver/concrete surfaces.
- Turn sprinklers off and keep pool patios dry. Reschedule pool service.
- Keep all surfaces to be sealed bare and dry.
It is imperative that surfaces be completely dry before sealant is applied. If any
moisture is trapped underneath sealant, product will dry with a milky finish. The
sealing process usually takes two days. Day one surfaces are pressure cleaned and
left to dry. The sealant is applied later in the second day (weather permitting) and
requires several hours to dry. Surfaces should not be walked on for at least 3 hours
after application, and may not be driven on sooner than 48 hours after application.
Driveways will be roped off with caution tape. Pools should be avoided for 24 hours
after application on patios. Please for an estimate.
Concrete Staining Can Be Done In Any Color.
*RBK Diversified Services will not be liable if sealant clouds or discolors due to previously applied product.
